2. World feed (host broadcaster)

Due to security and spatial reasons, the German public and private broadcasters have reached agreement on providing a world feed (host broadcaster) based on the “Berlin model” during the G20 Summit in Hamburg. It will be available via satellite under the conditions applicable to the “Berlin model” set out below. Transponder data will be made available in good time.

N.B.
No other live technology will be permitted in the conference area or in other secure areas linked to the G20 Summit.

Use of world feed
Under the "Berlin model" the world feed is available free of charge and without copyright charges, including for online use and archiving purposes.

However, broadcasts of the Global Citizen Concert and other concerts are subject to legal restrictions on the part of the performing artists. Information regarding these restrictions will be provided in due course.

Use of video material
Under the "Berlin model" the world feed is available free of charge and without copyright charges, including for online use and archiving purposes. Please familiarise yourself with the guidelines for publishing and using video material under the "Berlin model". For details, see page 2 under the heading "CvD Technical Information for Electronic Media".

3. TV and radio booths in the International Media Centre (IMC)

4. Stand-ups in the IMC and at the Port of Hamburg

There are plans to have one stand-up inside the Media Centre (in Hall B2) and one outside (in front of Hall B1).

Due to security and spatial restrictions, only the host broadcaster and the providers listed below will be permitted to use the stand-up outside (in front of Hall B1). Stand-up technology can be booked via the providers listed below for a fee. Please contact the providers listed below to enquire about fees.

Basic accreditation is sufficient to be able to use the stand-up in Hall B2.

N.B.
You must wear the Basic Accreditation and Special Pass “Aufsager Messe außen” (Stand-up Exhibition Hall Outside) visible at all times when using the stand-up in front of Hall B1. An additional security check in front of Hall B1 will be necessary before you will be allowed into the area. The Special Pass is available only from the providers listed below when you book airtime via them. The Special Pass will only be available temporarily and must be handed back to the provider once the stand-up is finished.

There will also be one stand-up in the Hamburg Port area with a view of the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall (Elphi) and Hamburg city centre.

N.B.
You must wear the Basic Accreditation and Special Pass “Aufsager Elbe” (Stand-up Elbe) visible at all times when using this stand-up. Special Passes will be issued by the BPA (for contact details see above). The BPA will provide transportation to the stand-up by the Elbe. Details regarding procedure will be published in the Press Programme.

Providers will mainly be providing technology and airtime for a fee by the IMC.

In order to be able to use the stand-up in Hall B2 and at the Port of Hamburg, you needed to register your transmission technology, citing the vehicle model, registration number, dimensions [height, width and length], weight, power requirement and alignment to satellite
by Wednesday, 31 May 2017, 16:00
by contacting the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government (see above).

The deadline has now passed.

N.B.
We urgently recommend that all TV stations interested in a stand-up use the services of the above providers, as there is not enough space for us to provide pitches for all unilateral transmission vehicles on the exhibition grounds. You will also be unable to set up and use fly aways on the exhibition grounds.

N.B.
You need to plan for more than 500 m of cable for SNG in the IMC and the port area.

5. Radio frequencies

All electronic media representatives (TV, radio, online etc.) must register the radio frequencies they will be using with the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur). Using frequencies without valid registration constitutes a regulatory offence and is punishable with a fine. Radio frequencies which have not been registered may be blocked.
